I mean, there are shots of the Revolution controller "docked" in an adaptor that looks like the Gamecube controller, but the Revolution controller, in its default state, operates as a 3D mouse. It stands to be both more accurate and more intuitive than analog sticks.
So... what is your fear about it? -

Its a natural thing. Its one of the things that holds creative game-making back.
After the dust clears, hopefully enough people wil have given it a fair shake, and there will be good games that take advantage of the new posibilities.
Tried and true is safe, but its not always as much fun. I, for one, embrace the prospect of exploration of new ideas.
It stands to reason that they will offer some sort of "normal" controller for people. If not by Nintendo than by some 3rd party. I forsee retro-controllers coming out that mimic the look of the nes and snes.
